What is Exchange Online
Exchange Online is part of the Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suite of products. Microsoft Exchange Online is a cloud based messaging platform that delivers email, calendar, contacts, and tasks. Users with an Exchange Online license connect to Exchange Online through email and calendar clients like, Outlook desktop, Outlook on the web and Outlook mobile app to access email and collaboration functionality, including shared mailboxes, shared calendars and global address lists.
When you sign up for Microsoft 365 for business and Microsoft 365 for enterprise subscription, you get Exchange Online automatically.
Apart from above subscriptions, you can purchase standalone licenses for your organization. For example, Exchange Online Plan1, Exchange Online Plan 2, and Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
How to access Exchange Admin Center (EAC)
As an administrator, you can manage your organization’s Exchange Online services in the Exchange admin center (EAC). You can use Microsoft 365 admin center for simple email and user management tasks and you can use EAC in Exchange Online for more complex tasks.
If you want to access Exchange Admin Center, login to Office 365 Admin Center and click Admin tile. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, choose Admin centers > Exchange.

Connect to Exchange Online PowerShell
To connect to Exchange Online PowerShell, open Windows PowerShell and run below command:
Install-Module -Name ExchangeOnlineManagement
Import-Module ExchangeOnlineManagement
Connnect-ExchangeOnline #Type Global Admin credentials#
